Summary
Aoki comments on how Mashiba's Chopping Right had perfect timing. Itagaki wonders if he stopped his Sunday punch because of the gong sounding, but Aoki remembers that Mashiba never cared about that before. The audience cheers loudly over Mashiba's performance. Tanaka asks Ippo what he was signalling towards Mashiba when he was looking at him. Ippo claims that he just did a thumbs up and Mashiba must have been just looking at Kumi. Tanaka asks Ippo how the match will turn out from a professional's perspective. Ippo believes that it is still too early to tell. Tanaka orders the Mashiba fans to cheer and give Mashiba their strength. The third round begins with a Mashiba chant as Mashiba heads to the centre of the ring. Rosario, however, stands still at his corner without a fighting pose.
