Summary
As Kumi cherishes the moment, she notices Ippo stopping himself from kissing her and asks him what's wrong. Ippo thinks he saw someone looking at them outside. The two decide to check outside the next time the fireworks bloom to see if anyone is there. When it happens, they see that no one is outside. As Ippo was about to tell her something, the fireworks bloom, and Ippo gets scared as he sees the same person outside again. Kumi doesn't see anyone there and tells Ippo to calm down and wonders if everything is going to stay the same between them since Ippo is always scared. As they are about to kiss again, the fireworks bloom, and this time, Ippo gets scared as he sees a group of people looking at them from outside. Kumi claims that it is all in his head and comments how something always gets in their way as if Ippo is fixated on things going wrong. Kumi decides to turn on the lights to see if it helps as she suggests for Ippo to take deep breaths and calm down. The two then become horrified when they notice that Mashiba has been in the living room with them for some time. As Ippo and Kumi wonder why Mashiba is back early from his training camp, Mashiba explains that there was a food poisoning outbreak there, so everyone left early to disinfect the area. Ippo is worried about Mashiba's condition due to the food poisoning, which Mashiba notes that he feels like he is going to puke because of seeing Ippo's face. Outside the Mashiba residence, Takamura, Aoki, Kimura, and Itagaki watch what is happening inside, and are disappointed that nothing happen between Ippo and Kumi despite Aoki's report that it should have been a night of love. Mashiba asks Ippo what he planned on doing with her tonight.
