Summary
At the Kamogawa gym, Fujii and Mari tells the gym members about Mashiba and Sendō's comments about their upcoming world title matches. Takamura states that Mashiba and Sendō are strong, but they are still small fries, as to become a world champion, one needs a certain panache and a vessel large enough to contain it, revealing his vessel as his genitalia. Kamogawa whacks his vessel with his cane and scolds him for speaking ill towards boxers from other gyms. As Fujii asks Kamogawa what his gym's next event it, Kamogawa reveals that Takamura is doing his first WBC super middleweight title defence, while Kimura and Itagaki are the undercards. Aoki wonders when his next match is. Shinoda explains that he reserved a spot for him at the Kōrakuen Hall for another day as the gym is negotiating with the high ranked JBC boxers so that Aoki can quickly take the top spot for a rematch against Iga. Taihei and Kintarō tells the reporters that they got some stuff coming up as well, however, Fujii and Mari don't know who the two are. Ippo is amazed as it feels like everything is moving all of a sudden with the whole landscape consisting of multiple boxers changing. Ippo was about to punch a sandbag before stopping and realising that it is only him who isn't moving. Fujii and Mari leave the gym, and as they walk away, they wonder how Ippo is feeling about watching the boxers he fought taking on the world. Fujii feels as if Ippo's time hasn't truly stopped. Mari decides to talk about Mashiba and Sendō, which Fujii believes that no one knows what would happen if Sendō lands one punch on Ricardo, however, Ricardo is the worst matchup due to him being the most masterful boxer in history. Mari claims how Mashiba's opponent is an in-fighter who made Juan struggle. Fujii notes that Mashiba's next opponent is evil and does anything to win, including committing fouls. He adds that while Sawamura was evil too, he was national level, however, Mashiba's opponent supposedly committed every crime but murder, but even murder is not out of the question, making him world level evil. Mari wonders if the match has been arranged yet. Fujii answers that it would be if Mashiba's next opponent, Marcus Rosario from Puerto Rico wasn't in prison.
