Summary
Mashiba begins throwing Flicker Jabs that Rosario blocks until he jumps back to create some distance. Ippo is surprised by how Rosario is the one who retreats despite him being an in-fighter while Mashiba is the one pushing forward. Sawamura is in the audience seats and is entertained by how the match is going. Takamura tells Aoki, Kimura, and Itagaki how buying time until the middle rounds isn't in Mashiba's nature, which is why he started attacking right from the beginning, however, that is just like Rosario's nature. Rosario is irritated that Mashiba has thrown punches while he hasn't, deeming it unfair. Both Mashiba and Rosario enter an exchange match where both boxers fail to land a hit on each other.
