Summary

As the sixth round begins, suddenly, Mashiba and Rosario enter a close-range exchange where both boxers throw punches at each other that get blocked, dodged, or grazed. As the audience warn Mashiba to not get hit by a headbutt, Takamura notes that Rosario isn't aiming for a headbutt, and if it even happens, it would be an accidental headbutt. Itagaki wonders if Takamura means that Rosario switched to a more straightforward approach because he couldn't get close to Mashiba by dragging him into a rough fight. Takamura claims that he is wrong and it could be bad for Mashiba, as that distance is Rosario's turf, where if Mashiba keeps intruding, he could be hit directly. Miyata mentions how Mashiba never got on the same malicious wavelength as Rosario, so it was Rosario who had to resonate with Mashiba. While Sendō believes that there will be no more fouls, Sawamura claims that they are striking at a distance where a headbutt can land, meaning he has already got that far in. Miyata notes how despite the counter last round failing, the timing was perfect, thinking that if they keep fighting at close-range, Mashiba will eventually be hit dead-on. As Mashiba is sending out a left-to-right combination, Rosario prepares to interrupt the middle of the combination with an attack.
