Summary
Ippo prepares a wide right swing with all his power as Miguel yells for Wally to circle around and attack back. Wally tries to move, but is unable to, so he guards instead. Ippo's right breaks Wally's guard as both of Wally's arms are raised. Ippo begins swinging a left with all his power. Wally tries to move, but is unable to, so he guards instead. Ippo's left breaks Wally's guard as both of Wally's arms are raised. Wally feels his arms stinging so he is unable to fight back, however, he knows he can't get hit either, so he plans to dodge. Wally's feet are unable to move, so he blocks. Ippo's full powered right straight hits Wally's block, which causes Wally to stagger from the impact. Miguel is confused as to why Wally won't use footwork to move away before thinking that maybe Wally can't use it anymore. One of Wally's seconds tells Miguel that he knows that he didn't hit Wally's leg with the stool. Miguel wonders if something is wrong with Wally's legs, but doesn't think that could be it since no significant punches landed, he then wonders if it is exhaustion, but doesn't think so either since Wally has been progressing through the match at a steady rhythm. Wally wonders what is wrong with him, as it feels like something caught onto his legs. Kamogawa notices that Wally is flatfooted now after doing his fancy manoeuvring and is trying to block Ippo's blows, though he has no idea why. Kamogawa sees that Wally has put his guard back up and by the expression of his face, he is showing that he is feeling the pressure. As Ippo moves towards Wally, Wally begins to jump, however, his feet barely leaves the ground as he felt as if something was holding him feet to the canvas. Wally wonders what Ippo did to him.
