Summary
Volg and Elliott exchange punches for some time, with neither boxer landing a hit as they dodge and block punches that have feints mixed in. As the audience is quiet, Dankichi notes that it must be because of how nerve-racking the match is. He thinks of how both boxers have rights that could lead to a knockout, making it a contest of finding the best time to use it. However, Dankichi thinks that given their reflexes and reaction time, throwing a right could also put the one who threw it in danger. He believes that they are gathering as much data as they can and analysing it at high speed, making it a battle of intelligence. As Elliott and Volg stop throwing punches, David Eagle gives his applause in the audience as he thinks the match is incredible. Eagle tells his partner how Elliott and him are old friends, and were teammates during the Olympics. Eagle adds that even among the top amateur boxers, Elliott's knack for observation was remarkable, and coupled with his athleticism and reflexes, this allowed him to instantly react to any changes in strategy, remembering that he has never seen anyone who could stand up to him when he was really using his head. While Eagle thinks that Elliott is incredible, he notes how even though the match was put together to give him the advantage, he is not dominating the match. Eagle believes Volg is doing a great job of keeping up with Elliott's high level offence. He believes that Volg isn't merely enjoying these kinds of matches, thinking that he must have gone through a tough journey before his career in America.
