Summary

Elliott continues punching Volg until he notices the referee stepping over to stop the match. Volg surprises the referee and Elliott when he throws a left that taps Elliot's head as the first round ends. As Elliott walks to his corner, he believes that Volg isn't a wolf anymore since his teeth aren't sharp and his claws are dull, planning to shoot him down to end the hunt. At Volg's corner, Volg tells Dankichi that while Elliott's punches are strong, he already faced the sharpest spear and the most durable shield. He receives a leg massage from Dankichi, who instructs him to find a way to avoid Elliott and attack at a distance until he has time to recuperate and get his sense for the ring back, adding that he is not alone. At Elliott's corner, when Elliott points out to the referee that he was slow to stop the match earlier, the referee replies how everyone loves a ten count. Sendō doesn't think the one minute interval will be enough for Volg to recover, so he will still be shaky, and Elliott will be rushing for him. Ippo adds that the White Fang won't work either since Elliott blocked it twice. Sendō thinks the White Fang is the least of Volg's problems, since he won't be throwing any good punches with how shaky he is. As the second round begins, Volg believes that he is not alone. Ippo remembers that Volg has an effective punch that can be thrown with just his upper body strength.
