Summary
As the referee tells Elliott to put up his fighting pose, Eagle states his disgust over the situation, thinking that the act is shaming America, wanting Elliott to forfeit as the match should be over. Elliott puts his fighting pose up and regains consciousness. Seeing Volg still at the neutral corner, Elliott plans to put him down. As the referee signals the continuation of the match, Ippo slams his fists down on a glass table, breaking it as he feels as if it is unfair to Volg. Ippo wonders why Volg always has to fight under terrible conditions. Volg remembers his conversation with Ruslan Ramuda, where Ramuda claimed that America won't give him a warm welcome and that there will be nothing but trials. He also remembers his past with his mother, where she told him to go with Ramuda since she was sure that he can overcome any trials and become anything he wants. He also remembers after he fought Ippo, he felt as if he lost everything before he could amount to anything. Volg wondered if he wanted to keep going and what his fists can get him, but he already knew the answer: he wanted to put himself to the test by taking the most difficult path possible. Volg decides to let his wolf instincts take over.
