Summary

With Ippo as the batter, the first ball passes by him. Itagaki tells Ippo to treat it like throwing a counter punch. Ippo tries, but the second ball passes him due to him not being a counter puncher. Nekota tells Ippo to use his best move, which Ippo thinks that would mean his Dempsey Roll. Aoki and Kimura realise that relying on Ippo is hopeless, so they come up with a plan, with Aoki stealing home. As the ball gets thrown, Aoki starts running, while Kimura tells Ippo to bunt, but Ippo doesn't know what that means. Ippo tries to hit it, but Wanpo jumps up and grabs the ball with his mouth. Kiyota and Kuwahara's team tries to say that it doesn't count, but Aoki and Kimura point out that they said that dogs are the same as rocks on the field. The game ends, and Aoki and Kimura's team wins. Afterwards, when Aoki makes fun of the enemy team getting mad about losing because of Wanpo, Takamura thinks Aoki's attitude is poor, so he allows for his head to be shaved. However, when Aoki's cap gets removed, Takamura and the enemy team are sickened by the way Aoki's hair looks and runs away. Afterwards, Kimura mentions to Ippo and Itagaki that there is no telling how long the Kamogawa group will last due to sudden retirement like in Sawamura's case, and that he may be the first to go, but he will still be able to look back on the good times and be glad that he chose his path at the Kamogawa gym. Ippo thinks that he himself may be the one that will retire first, so he will have to remember these good times.
