Details
- Title Page Character(s): Takeshi Sendō, Ippo Makunouchi, Genji Kamogawa
Summary
After clearly losing the round, Sendō makes his way back to his corner in a state of shock. Seeing this, his grandmother comments on how much of a fool he is worrying about "the little things" and ignoring the fans's calls. Yanaoka realises that Shigeta is indeed a right-handed fighter but does not tell Sendō as it would make no difference. Instead, he hopes Sendō remembers about the training they did. On the opposite corner, Shigeta is satisfied at the crowd's reaction and goes out for the third round. Meanwhile, Kamogawa tells Ippo to focus on Shigeta because Sendō will most likely lose. The third round starts and Shigeta lands a hit hat leaves Sendō confused as his fans beg him to not fall. With Sendō on the ropes, Shigeta is ready to finish him, but is caught in a clinch by the champion. Shigeta uses the opportunity to once again ask if that is all he has, and further states he and Ippo are worthless. When they separate, Shigeta throws an attack intending to end the match, but Sendō barely dodges. As Shigeta gets ready to throw another, Sendō with a quick dash, makes his way in before the challenger can throw (surprising Kamogawa, who previously stated Sendō lacked the dashing power). Now face to face, Sendō wastes no time and delivers a body blow that leaves Shigeta in pain.
