Fujii, Aoki, Kimura, and Itagaki are shocked that Ippo went down from two jabs as Kamogawa ends the spar immediately. Ippo wonders if he just went down and can barely stand up. Kamogawa notices that it wasn't a flash down, Ippo has been hurt. Ippo wants to continue the spar, but Kamogawa tells him to get out of the ring. After leaving the ring, Ippo believes that his headgear was the cause of him not seeing the punches at the end while he was starting weaving. While walking to his office, Kamogawa is reminded by Takamura that Ippo got knocked down by Aoki's Frog Punch, he had trouble dodging in the other spar as well as if he wasn't sure what he was doing, thinking he dodged but got hit anyway. Takamura believes that Ippo probably thought he dodged Nagumo's punches as well. He adds that he has been suspecting it for a while now, telling Kamogawa that Ippo is broken.
