Summary
Ippo and Kamogawa are shocked by the right uppercut and feels as if no matter what strategy they use, Gedo is one step ahead. Ippo attempts to do another dual exchange, but he can not reach him even though he is hit as the third round comes to an end. In Ippo's corner, Ippo doesn't want to lose to someone who actually considers throwing a fight. Kamogawa advises to Ippo to not give up as he will find a chance as the fight has just begun. At Gedo's corner, when Gedo notes how strong Ippo is, his coach asks him if he thinks that he doesn't think he can win by knockout, however, Gedo claims he will be able to. Gedo remembers when he got shot above his heart, and vowed to never be poor again, which is why he always is thinking about money. He thinks that compared to a gun, the big soft boxing gloves coming at him makes him laugh. Ippo is unable to get a good hit on Gedo from the fourth to the middle of the sixth round, and is repeatedly hit with counters and uppercuts when he gets close.
