Summary
Ippo begs the group for the last time to not make him confess, however they say he can not back away since it was a promise they agreed upon. Fearful of what they might do if he refuses, Ippo decides to go through with it if they agree to not follow him. Knowing it can not be done without proof, Takamura gives him a recorder in order to prove he did indeed confess. As he leaves Aoki hints that Tomiko told him that Kumi likes him. Later that night, Ippo meets with Kumi at a diner, and after eating, they find Wanpo waiting outside for them. As it begins snowing, Kumi says they should go to the park and play with the dog. At the park, after building up courage, Ippo decides he can, and should confess to Kumi, but not record it as it would be rude. Despite not wanting to record it, Ippo slips on the ice and falls on the recorder, accidentally turning it on. He then gets up and says he has something to tell her, which causes both of them to blush. Ippo tries to confess his feelings, but repeatedly stutters over and over again, until Kumi tells him that she is listening so he should say what he has to say.
