Summary
As the national anthems play, Wally tells Miguel that he will give him the champion belt, as he just wants to end the match, remembering when Ricardo told him that no one said matches with him were deemed "fun". While Bill and Ricardo are surprised to see Ippo as one of Wally's seconds, Bill mentions to Ricardo to just focus on the match. Sendō asks Volg about the three sparring partners that were world rankers, which Volg explained how they couldn't see his punches coming and were unable to continue when Wally made cuts above their eyes. Volg adds it wasn't the first time he has seen it, and Sendō thinks that it is a type of surprise attack. Dankichi asks Ippo about how Ricardo fights, and Ippo claims that he uses the first round to scope things out, stays at middle range while not throwing a lot of punches, and skilled at reading opponents' habits and strategies. Miguel tells Ippo and Dankichi that Wally will be going full throttle from the start. As soon as the match begins, Wally dashes towards Ricardo at full speed. Ricardo moves away, while Wally doesn't change course, running straight towards the corner post, doing a flip, and using his hands to bounce off the post and turn around to face Ricardo again, leaving everyone shocked.
